— Deputies responded to a laundromat in East Palestine at 5:35 a.m. Tuesday where a woman reported she was involved in a domestic earlier at a North Pleasant Drive, Unity Township home.

— Two people were reported trespassing at a Tower Road, Butler Township, address at 4:33 p.m. Tuesday. Deputies found both Sara Christine Noling, 35, and Lee N. Givens, 35, both of East Taggart Street, East Palestine, had warrants and they both were taken into custody.

— Police assisted the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force during an investigation within city limits Friday. Officers detained the suspect who was later arrested by a detective.

— Officers made a traffic stop and a drug investigation on Allen Avenue at 6:51 p.m. Friday.

— A disturbance complaint brought officers to North Middle Street at 8:27 a.m. Sunday. The matter was civil and the report said there were no further incidents.

— Two complainants spoke with officers at the police department about an ongoing neighbor dispute at 2:06 p.m. Saturday. Officers advised all parties to leave each other alone.

— Ashley L. Wellman, 38, of Leetonia was arrested and released on summons following a traffic stop Friday at 5:31 p.m. at Manor Apartments on West Salem Street. Suspected narcotics were recovered from the car, the report said.

— Officers saw a driver run a red light near Stanton Avenue and North Middle Street Saturday at 7:03 p.m. During the traffic stop they observed the driver showing signs of impairment. A field sobriety test was conducted and police say it showed the driver was impaired. The driver was arrested and taken to the police department where a breath test confirmed they were over the legal limit. The driver, whose name is not noted in the report, was given a court date and cleared the police department.

— Police received a call Monday at 4:35 p.m. about a loose dog. Upon arrival, the caller on Main Street had two dogs in their possession. The dogs were loaded into the cruiser and taken to the county pound and given shelter and water.

— Officers assisted Columbiana police with an incident in Firestone Park at 2:40 p.m. on Monday.

— Officers were dispatched to Frola Motel Friday at 10:17 p.m. to assist the sheriff’s office with a possible domestic dispute.

— Officers were dispatched to Circle K 11:20 p.m. May 19. A caller told police a man was parked at the pumps and yelling because people were parked there but not getting gas. Officers told the man to calm down and there were no further incidents.

— A portable toilet in the roadway brought officers to the area of South Market and South Park Saturday at 7:17 p.m. The toilet was moved off the road and the owner was called.

— A door was open at a North Street home and the neighbors called police because they weren’t sure the owner was home Friday at 10:03 p.m. The owner was home and told the police they were fine.

— An alarm went off at the Columbiana County Mental Health with open doors Saturday at 7:24 p.m. When police arrived the door was closed and they waited for a key holder to arrive, cleared the building and found nothing.

— A May 19 two-car accident just after noon brought police to South Beaver and Washington Streets. Both cars were damaged and no citations were issued in the incident.

— Smith Oil reported a drive off on May 19 at 12:49 p.m. They did not have the license plate number, make or model of the car.

— An open 911 line at the Lisbon Board of Education just before 2 p.m. Saturday brought officers to the scene, but they were not able to locate anyone upon arrival.

— A medical alarm turned out to be a false alarm on May 19 at 9:29 a.m. when the resident on Grandview told officers she accidentally hit her medical pendant.

— A deer collided with a car in front of BP on state Route 154 headed east at 9:17 p.m. Friday. No injuries were reported.

— A Lisbon resident spoke to officers regarding a scam on May 18 at just before 4 p.m. She said she had gotten a call from a man who said he worked for Verizon and he needed payment for her phone bill. She said he told her she needed to download the Zelle app on her phone so she did. Then she said they took $126 and then $198 out of her bank account. She contacted her bank to stop payment and came to the station to file a report.

— At 6:24 p.m. May 17, officers assisted the sheriff’s office serving indictments in and around Lisbon.

— A tractor trailer broke down on North Market Street at 1:43 p.m. May 17 and officers responded to the scene. The driver tried to back down the hill and onto East Chestnut to try and get out of the way of traffic, but the truck jack-knifed, still blocking North Market Street. Chief Abraham got his vehicle from the parking lot, hooked a chain to it and the truck and pulled the tractor trailer onto West Chestnut to wait for a tow.

— Police were called by the sheriff’s office to come to Numbers Brewing’s parking lot with a portable breath testing machine at 4:35 p.m. on May 16. The call was cleared after the woman blew .00.

— Officers on patrol at 9:07 p.m. on May 16 saw a car parked in the fairgrounds, running. Officers checked the car where they found a woman who apologized and said she was playing PokÈmon GO. Officers told her the fairgrounds are closed after dark and she left.

— Police did a welfare check for a grandson worried about his grandmother on North Jefferson Street at 8:46 p.m. May 16. Officers and KLG arrived on the scene and checked on the woman who did not want to go to the hospital. Officers told her to call if anything changed.

— Officers were dispatched to East Chestnut Street at 6:53 p.m. May 16 for a report of a chemical odor. Officers could not smell any chemical odors. The Lisbon Fire Department and KLG arrived on the scene and the residents were cleared and no gasses were detected. Officers told them to call back if anything changed.

— A private property accident brought officers to Circle K at 11:12 p.m. on May 15 where officers found a truck had backed into a Buick. There were no injuries reported and the driver of the truck said he was willing to pay for the minor damage to the rear bumper he caused.

— Officers were dispatched to Trail’s End Motel on state Route 45 just before 10 p.m. on May 15 to assist the sheriff’s office with an ongoing fight. Upon Lisbon’s arrival, both parties were separated and they stood by until more sheriff’s units arrived on the scene. They left the scene then without further incident.

— Dana McGilvary of North Market Street was charged with first-degree misdemeanor drug paraphernalia on May 15 after she was found unconscious in her bathroom. She was revived by police and agreed to go get checked out at the hospital. Officers found a spoon with white residue, a capped syringe and a Q-Tip and seized the items as evidence.

— Officers responded to North Market Street at 2:49 p.m. for a bad smell coming from the residence when they found a deceased dog under a blanket. A resident told police the dog had died but he was unable to bury it because he was injured. Officers told him to bury it before nightfall. He was also advised about high grass.

— A car parked on the roadway with no one in it brought police to West Washington Street at 1:19 p.m. May 16. Police contacted the owner who moved it to a street with parking.

— Police were dispatched to Lepper Library at 11:25 p.m. May 15 for a possible breaking and entering. Upon arrival, they found a male who said he was charging his cell phone at an open outlet by the door. He was advised the library is closed at night and the call was cleared.

— A car alarm was going off on North Green Street at 11 a.m. May 12 and officers encountered it while on patrol. Officers told the owner about the alarm and the owner checked the car but nothing appeared to be tampered with or gone.

— Police saw a truck with a trailer parked at the park and ride on state Route 154 with hazard lights on at 8:12 p.m. May 15. They stopped and the owner was replacing his tire on the trailer. He said he had a spare and didn’t need a tow.

— Officers witnessed a deer collide with a SUV on state Route 154 at 6:51 p.m. May 17. The report notes they had no time to react or avoid the collision. The vehicle had front end grill damage, but no injuries were noted.

— Two small children were reported left unattended inside a vehicle in the Aldi’s parking lot at 2:22 p.m. Tuesday. Police spoke with the mother, who admitted to leaving the children in the vehicle, but pointed out one of the children was 11 and old enough to look after the other child while she went inside the store.

— Police assisted an agent with the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force, who was meeting a man who was arriving for an alleged sexual offense at 3:51 p.m. Tuesday. The man was transported back to the Salem Police Department and then later to the county jail.

— A man reported at 5:29 p.m. Tuesday his vehicle was stolen from the 200 block of South Lincoln Avenue. He told police the only one who had permission to drive his vehicle was his sister and she did not have it.

— A couple on Southeast Boulevard reported at 5:29 p.m. Tuesday his gun was stolen from his vehicle and so was his wife’s wallet.

— Someone reported an intoxicated driver in a blue Saturn heading northbound on South Lincoln Avenue and all over the roadway at 6:04 p.m. Tuesday. Police checked the area, but did not see the vehicle.

— Isaac Garlough, 26, state Route 45, Lisbon, was traveling westbound on East Pershing Street at 6:36 p.m. Tuesday, when Kathy Lester, 60, Quay Road, Negley, pulled from a stop sign northbound on Washington Avenue and struck his vehicle in the driver’s side, forcing his vehicle to spin 180 degrees. Both vehicles were towed and Garlough was transported to Salem Regional Medical Center by KLG. Lester was cited with failure to stop at the stop sign.

— A disorderly girl was reported at a Salem High School choir concert at 7:21 p.m. Tuesday. A father said a girl in the choir began causing an issue with his son, whom she previously dated. The family decided to leave the concert due to her behavior and she reportedly followed them outside yelling obscenities at the family. Then the girl went back inside the school to finish the concert. Police were going to speak to her and her family.

— A scooter was initially reported stolen from the Salem High School gym foyer at 8:38 p.m. Tuesday, but after school officials looked into it, the scooter was located.

— A Southeast Boulevard man reported at 9:12 p.m. Tuesday someone he met over social media was harassing him and he wanted to know what his options were for handling it.

— A domestic dispute was reported in Sugartree Alley at 11:18 p.m. Tuesday. Police did not find the man and woman reported, but found three men who said they saw them fighting, but they had left before police arrived.

— Suspicious activity was reported at a vacant home on North Ellsworth Avenue near West 16th Street at 11:24 p.m. Tuesday. Police found lights and music on inside the home, but checked inside the house and found no one.

— Police found two people standing in front of a closed business in the 100 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 1:20 a.m. Wednesday. They said they were just waiting for a ride.

— Police found a man crawling out of a dumpster behind the Tractor Supply, East State Street, at 1:32 a.m. Wednesday. He was told he can not be behind the businesses while they are closed and he left the area.

— A large group of people were reported in an alley in the 500 block of Walnut Street between Columbia and Walnut Streets at 2:16 a.m. Wednesday. Police checked the area, but did not find anyone outside.

–A loud person was reported at a Fair Avenue address at 2:55 a.m. Wednesday. Police found a woman, who said she was doing dishes and dropped a dish on the floor. She said she was almost done washing dishes for the night.

— A West 16th Street man reported a loud noise like someone banging a hammer on metal at 4:38 a.m. Wednesday, but it stopped before police arrived and police found no one in the area.

— A man reported at 7:05 a.m. Wednesday another man approached him with a knife in the 100 block of South Lincoln Avenue, but no threats were made. Police found the other man and it was determined to have been a misunderstanding.

–A dispute between two women was reported at a Rose Avenue home at 8:13 a.m. Wednesday. Police found there had been an argument, but nothing further and both were going their separate ways for the rest of the day.

— Someone reported at 8:24 a.m. Wednesday two people had set up an tent in an unoccupied area near the intersection of West Pershing Street and South Howard Avenue, which was private property. Police told them to move along.

— Janet Gallagher-Stafford, 58, Camp Boulevard, Hanoverton, was westbound on Southeast Boulevard at 12:39 p.m. Tuesday, failed to yield at the stop sign at the intersection with South Lincoln Avenue, and struck a vehicle driven northbound by Julia Kozel, Cortland. No injuries were reported. Gallagher-Stafford was cited with failure to yield at the stop sign.

— Salem police officers kept busy Tuesday responding to the 100 block of West State Street to assist a Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force agent in making contact with four separate males who came to town for alleged sex offenses. The times of the reports were 2:05 p.m., 11:37 a.m., 10:12 a.m. and 9:38 a.m. Tuesday. In each case, the males were transported to the police station for further investigation by the agent.

— Officers at 1:24 p.m. Tuesday spoke with a person at the station regarding a fake check. She was told to shut off her bank credentials and to contact social security.

— Police were called to the 100 block of West State Street at 1:20 p.m. Tuesday to check the well-being of a female. The caller was very vague and said a known female made a comment that she was going to take a large amount of pills. Officers spoke to the female, who said she was ok and had no thoughts of self harm.

— A vehicle was reported parked half in an alley in the 400 block of Jennings Avenue at 12:44 p.m. Tuesday, blocking access to other vehicles. The owner was moving the vehicle.

— Officers at 12:03 p.m. Tuesday assisted Perry Township Police with a problematic student at a school function at Country Club Lane. The student was later turned over to a parent.

— Police responded to a domestic dispute at 1:05 a.m. Tuesday in the 500 block of East Fourth Street where both parties said they had an argument and would separate for the night.

— A woman in the 500 block of Continental Drive reported at 10:54 p.m. Monday that multiple prescription medications were missing from her property.

— Melissa Blake, 39, Quay Road, Negley, was cited for driving under suspension after a traffic stop at 10:50 p.m. Monday on East State at Rose.

— Suspicious activity was reported at 10:13 p.m. Monday in the 100 block of Brooklyn, but no one was found.

— A reckless driver was reported at 7:35 p.m. Monday at West State Street and Dodge Drive, with officers conducting a traffic stop at North Lincoln Avenue and East Sixth Street and finding everything ok. The driver was a juvenile so officers attempted to call the parents, but were unable to make contact.

— A caller at 7:02 p.m. Monday reported a juvenile riding a motorized scooter on the track at Sebo Stadium. The juvenile had already left.

— A reckless driver was reported at 6:42 p.m. Monday on North Lincoln Avenue at East Fifth Street. Police conducted a traffic stop and everything checked ok.

— A dispute was reported at 6:18 p.m. Monday on North Ellsworth at West Fourth Street. Officers located two people arguing on North Broadway at Fourth Street. Both parties said they were arguing because they had no place to go. Nothing physical occurred. Officers contacted a local shelter willing to take them in and gave the people the information.

— A woman at 5:45 p.m. Monday asked about getting a protection order and was told to go to court and was given the information she needed.

— A man from the 400 block of West Wilson Street reported at 2:31 p.m. Monday that a known male came to his property to retrieve some belongings that were already provided to a family member. He told the person to leave, which he did, but he doesn’t want him returning. He was told to call police if he comes back so he can be criminally trespassed.

— A suspicious vehicle was reported parked in the 500 block of South Lundy Avenue at 12:19 p.m. Monday. The occupant was identified and lived nearby.

— An attempted burglary was reported at 9:53 a.m. Monday in the 1400 block of South Lincoln Avenue, occurring sometime last week.
